Taggart’s Orchard is a family run apple orchard founded by Kermit and Louise Taggart in 1983. The land where our apples grow has been in the Taggart family for nearly 200 years. Today four generations live on the farm.
We grow a dozen varieties of apple and sell them from our rustic “apple barn” built by a young Kermit and his father. The barn is open seasonally in September and October. We only sell what’s fresh and in season! In addition to apples, we also offer jams, jellies and cider.
Please note, we are a CASH ONLY business. This keeps our prices low and adds to our “old fashioned charm”.
Do you have ginger gold apples?

Good question, Kim! We should by 8/27. Sometimes we pick, wash and/or pack in the morning and have them ready for sale by afternoon! The apples call the shots around here!
We will update the website and Facebook as frequently as possible. You can always call ahead, too. Thank you!!!

Do you have any place in the Pittsburgh area where I can buy your apples. I am an apple a day person living in the East End of Pittsburgh.

So sorry, Carl, we do not sell to grocery stores or sell from farm markets at this time. Our on-farm “fruit stand” is located in Washington County.

Good morning! I’m looking for mixed bushels for hard cider brewing. Do you sell apples by the bushel, and if so, how much per bushel?

All varieties are $34 per bushel. We’d be happy to provide you with a mix – we’ve got a good variety of sweet and tart flavors for sale this weekend. Thank you for the question!
